I simply love Calving Harris for turning down the opportunity to work with that over hyped (and played) pen15 havin' pop tartlet du-jour "lady gaga" and then putting out remix gems like this mildly New Order-esque take on Passion Pit's "the Reeeling". I cant stop listening to it. Calvin Harris.. you are my scottish electronic hero!

Weekend in review.

What a show. Big thanks to the MLNP family for showing out tough all weekend for some truly amazing events. We had a capacity crowd launch party for FLOSSY Fridays (First Fridays @ Slide). Dj Solomon and I rocked an impromptu 2x4 set full of music I'm sure had never been rocked at Slide on a Friday. Nobody wanted to leave and it seemed that the posse came back early to make SCENE Sundays the best SCENE yet. DJ Henroc played a mix of Reggae, Hip Hop Classic and Soul jams that had the dance floor shimmy shaking.

Tonight is one on my personal favorite new djs on the SF Scene HellaMiles. This youngster is possessed on the decks and comes through with fresh cuts like a butcher. Resident and host DJ Mei-Lwun in the hizzle w/HM serial killing the crowd @ MANIC MONDAYS for his sequel appearance YOU... be there early. Its gonna be a thriller. Fernet and Coralejos on special.

Flossy and Solomn MLNP owned Slide last night..

The "Flossy" launch party was so fun last night i wish it could have gone longer. Solomon killed it and it was fun to be able to play some more creative music @ Slide.

Don't forget we will call this Sunday @ Scene the continuation. On a bit more of a soulful, good times, hip-hop level, me and DJ Henroc will be dropping heavy cuts on you from 9pm-2am.

Manic Mondays rocks the bells this this Monday Aug 3rd with special guest Dj David Carvalho joining your MANIC resident and host Dj Mei-Lwun.
